Will I have free-time?

Absolutely! While the amount and schedule of free time will vary between each placement and depends largely on the needs of the project you have been assigned to, however volunteers can generally expect to have their evenings and weekends (usually Saturdays and Sundays) free to relax, explore the local area or even travel further field. Many volunteers take these opportunities to arrange trips, excursions, safaris, treks, or any number of other available activities in their chosen volunteering destination.
