What is the 'Local Support Network'?

Local Support Network (LSN) refers to our local partner team, who are there to provide our volunteers with 24/7 onsite support and guidance throughout the duration of their service placement. They provide the airport transfers (where applicable), the arrival orientations, safety briefings and local tours, and generally help volunteers to settle into their new surroundings. Once the volunteer has been shown how to get to/from their allocated project site safely and introduced to their project manager, a member of the local team will continue to stay in regular contact with each volunteer throughout their stay to ensure that everything is running smoothly. Should any minor issues or problems arise, they are there to help fix these straight away. In many cases, volunteers become life-long friends with the in-country support teams and many have returned year after year to continue their support.
